Galaxy Tab A11+ gets April 2026 security update

Galaxy Tab A11+ gets April 2026 security update

The Galaxy Tab A11+ units with cellular connectivity in Samsung’s home country, South Korea, are getting a new software update. It brings the April 2026 security patch, which addresses 47 security issues present in the previous version of the OS.

The update carries firmware version X236NKOS4AZD5. You can get it by going to Settings > Software update > Download and install. Samsung may release the latest security patch to the tablet in other countries in the next few days.

Samsung launched the Galaxy Tab A11+ with One UI 8.0 (Android 16) and promised to offer it seven major OS upgrades and seven years of security updates. It means that the tablet is eligible to get the brand’s new Android customisation for Galaxy smartphones and tablets, One UI 8.5 (Android 16 QPR2).

One UI 8.5 brings a slightly redesigned user interface that looks cleaner and more sophisticated than before, and is more customisable, as well as offers many new features over One UI 8.0. At the moment, there’s no information about when Samsung will release the new software to the Galaxy Tab A11+.
